Three places to sleep during Hajj

A Hajj programme typically combines a Makkah hotel before and after the days of Hajj, a building in Aziziyah close to the Jamarat during the days of Tashreeq, and the tents of Mina and Arafat organised by the licensed Hajj service company.

When to book

Serious Hajj operators contract Makkah and Madinah hotels 8–12 months ahead. Late requests can still be served, mostly in rings 2 and 3 and through hotel apartments.

Hotel vs. apartment

Hotels offer full service, breakfast and daily housekeeping. Apartments offer kitchens, larger rooms and lower rates per person — the usual choice for groups of 4 to 6 pilgrims.
